Wanted to play badminton with Meng Lu today..
Unfortunately, the hall is being used for JC1 orientation :(
I suggested to go running instead... I'm still waiting for Meng Lu's reply. I'm too lazy to go running by myself XP
O_O I forgot to do my push ups and planking again! I did 40 push ups to make up for the other day...
T__T
Then, I forgot all about my planking..
I was so glad that the push ups were done that I only did one set of planks =.= So many to do today!!!!!
Ah, don't ask me to do pull-ups again..

First Day of School for JC1s
I was sitting in the canteen with Jeya who was told me that she saw two juniors from Cedar Girls.
Shalom and Hui Xian soon joined us but they soon left to look for our juniors. After a while, Hui Qi came over, saying that she saw three juniors. Then, Yan Xin and Mei Bao came over and we all decided to go look for our juniors.
There were about 7 Cedarians in front of the canteen talking to Shalom, Hui Xian and Michelle (our senior) already.
Michelle is back to teach Mathematics! :D
She looks really pretty!!
Anyway, we saw SO MANY people from St Nicks.
There were quite a lot of people from Catholic High and Tanjong Katong Girls' School too!
Here's the TKGS doll. (I can't find one for Cat High..Oh, I forgot all Cat High students had to wear short trousers...)
Last year, there were only two people from TKGS and they are Ruijia and ..
O.O I forgot her name! Sorry!!
There were 20+ people who came to Hwa Chong from Cedar..about 19 came in through JAE. This year, I only saw a total of 12 Cedarians T____T So pathetic.
Their batch did better than mine.. (in the sense that their MSG was higher). However, for my batch, 100% of us were qualified for JCs. Not sure about my juniors.
Anyway, if you are coming to Hwa Chong and you know me, do tell me, okay?
I want a junior~
Oh yeah, my friends say Cedar's uniform is nice! I AGREE :D
Yay~
Look at the sea of blue!
Cedar Bear!
I forgot to get one!!
If someone is getting me a soft toy for Valentine's Day or my birthday, get this :P
Haha, kiiiiidding..

Hey, at least I knew your name halfway through the conversation.
You didn't even know my name until I got up to leave!
V: *gets up*
V: Do you even know my name?
Yuci: *quiet*
V (thinks): You know my school, you know I play the piano.. you should know my name, right?
Yuci: No
V: O_O
Yuci: So what's your name?
V: You really don't know!?
Yuci: Yeah
V: ...
V: 要华文的,还是英文的?
Yuci: *thinks*
Yuci: 不如两个吧 *looks up at V*
First day of school for JC1 students tomorrow!
Anyone coming to Hwa Chong?

O_O
Another body found in a reservoir! What's with dying in reservoirs?
O_O It was found just today at 1pm? I was near it at about 12+pm today! O_O
---------------
Anyway, Joshie shared a video on Facebook. Here it is!
It sounds like a typical modern song of worship though... The chord progressions used are quite common. Nevertheless, it still sounds nice :)

Today's is probably the last gathering with my extended family for this year :(
I will miss them..

I went to see 动感清明上河图 at the Singapore Expo yesterday!
I did not regret going :D
The 5metres long 'moving painting' was beautiful!!!
I could almost imagine myself to be in back in those days..
"Almost" because I was distracted by the device that explained the painting to us..and the people around us.
Surprisingly, it was quite crowded..
I thought people wouldn't be interested in such things. Besides, this painting has been here for quite a while, I thought there would be no more crowd today..

Heart-wrenching..
I came across this on Facebook a few minutes ago.
While searching for information related to Marta del Castillo on Google, I was hoping it wouldn't be something like the case of Junko Furuta.
(This is Junko Furuta, the girl who was tortured for 44 days before being killed).
Marta del Castillo was 17 years old when she went missing on 4th January 2009. It turned out that she had been raped and killed by her ex-boyfriend Miguel Carcaño because she had rejected his kiss.
Miguel Carcaño was sentenced to 20 years in jail on 13th January 2012. This is so recent! I thought it was some old news..but no!
How is it that he who has raped and killed someone is only sentenced to 20 years of jail!? To make things worse for her family, he has not told what he truly did to her body. The search for her body is still on.
=/
I guess there will always be injustice in this world. As Christians, we look forward to Christ's second coming.. In heaven, we know that there will be no sorrow and no pain. Everything will be perfect. For now, we just have to trust GOD to lead us in our lives.
=/ Rest in peace,
Junko and Marta.
Um, in case anyone is interested in reading more about Marta..
I can't imagine why people would put it under 'best gore'. I mean, sure, it is really ... disturbing...but still.. Okay, I can't comprehend why people would actually be sadistic enough to WANT to read such things especially when these events (wait, I'm not sure about the rest) truly happened in real life.
I was about to say I couldn't understand why people could even do this to a fellow human...when I remembered one word - 'sin'.
This website (http://blog.makmoden.com/?p=677) is less ... gory..but I still won't advise you to read it especially if you are faint-hearted..or if you've just eaten. I read the story of Junko quite a while back and I am STILL disturbed by it. By the way, the 4 perpetrators have not been convicted of the crime.. Those four guys are really.. HEARTLESS!!! (Psychopathic..)
Oh, I just saw this on Tumblr!
Not sure about Kim Dotcom. All I know is that Miguel guy got 20 years and the other four guys did not get any... Oh well, that's from what I've found on the Internet. Not sure how true they are.
(I wrote this in a hurry because I want to read Our Daily Bread and I still have to prepare for my 雪山飞虎 skit which is tomororw. Sorry for any mistakes in this post.)
V (thinks): Is that a girl's name? Is that his real name? Or is it like those fake names girls always use on Facebook? Those Japanese names..
V: Is that your real name?
Yuci: *responds with a 哭笑不得 face*
Yuci: Is that my real name?
Yuci: *looks down and laughs (not happily though)*
V: *panics*
V: Ah, it's really your name?
Yuci: Of course it is!
V: Haha, so sorry!

Gee (Dance Version) By SNSD!
No wonder my friend said they acted cute for this song. =/
The tune is kind of catchy though..
Oh, the international scholars danced this for Chinese New Year celebration at Cedar this year. Initially, I thought they choreographed it. Then, I thought it suited the music too well and that they probably learnt it from some MV. It turned out that I was right!
By the way, I really can't imagine dancing in high heels.
I almost twisted my ankle yesterday when I was walking home from church in my 'LOW heels'. Sighs. Come on, don't say that I'm a dancer therefore I can handle high heels. It's so not true for me.

Our Daily Bread Extract: Breathtaking
Solomon’s life reminds us that it’s important to find joy in “ordinary” things, for they are indeed wonderful. Bigger is not always better. More is not always an improvement. Busier doesn’t make us more important.
Rather than look for meaning in breathtaking moments, we should find meaning in every breath we take, and make every breath meaningful.
I've been dancing, playing the piano and singing since I was 3.DANCING: Ballet/contemporary. I have performed solo and I choreograph my own routines!SINGING:
I started out with singing in the choir. Recently, I've started exploring other singing styles and tried singing solo. I've also sang with a youth band and have done duets!MUSIC INSTRUMENTS:
I am still taking piano lessons. I hope to play the piano in my church service. I have stopped learning the gu zheng. I'm currently learning the guitar and might be considering the drums!
I hope to use my GOD-given talents to glorify GOD and lead people to Him :) All glory be to GOD!
